Lecture: Descriptive Interpretation of Fluorescein Angiography
August 6, 2016 @ 8:30 am - 9:00 am
Timothy J. Bennett, CRA, OCT-C, FOPS.
Geisinger Educational Conference for Ophthalmic Technical Personnel.
Knowledge of the normal circulation patterns of the retinal and choroidal blood vessels provides a foundation for identifying abnormalities in fluorescein angiography. This course will cover the angiographic procedure, timing/phases of circulation, and descriptive terminology in both normal and abnormal angiograms. Concepts of hyperfluorescence and hypofluorescence will be discussed.
Objectives:
- Describe the phases of a normal angiogram.
- Identify abnormal patterns of fluorescence
- Recognize common hyperfluorescent and hypofluorescent findings.
